From 1 July, ticket presale is open to taste the 12 flavors competing for the title of best gelato in Japan. The event will be held Saturday 31 August and Sunday 1 September 2019 at the Great Pier Hall-Yokohama Port Osanbashi International terminal (Kanagawa Prefecture, Yokohama).

During the two days of the event, visitors will taste the competing flavors and vote for their favorite. The votes of the public and the evaluation of the technical jury will decide the best gelato flavor of Japan. The winning gelato artisan will also have access to the "Gelato Festival World Masters" final to be held in Italy in 2021.

By purchasing a ticket, visitors can try up to 4 of the 12 unique tastes they compete.

The Gelato World Tour returns to Japan, 4 years after its last edition, to see 12 of the best gelato artisans in the country challenge each other; 11 of these were selected during the "Carpigiani Challenge" semifinals on 3 and 4 April in Tokyo at the Carpigiani Japan branch. The 12th is the winner of the Gelato Maestro Contest, for a total of 12 finalist tastes.
